The coming TxDOT intersection at East Lucas Road and Southview Drive will create significant issues for those desiring to visit the Bait Shop (Lucas Country Store). Access through the Lucas Country Corner will be necessary to provide customers left turn access to the Bait Shop.

The future TxDOT intersection (likely some time in 2023) will be much safer and much more efficient than the current intersection. However, it will significantly hinder access to the Bait Shop allowing no left turns into or out of the Bait Shop.

We have plans to provide access through the Lucas Country Corner and into the Bait Shop, which allows efficient and safe access from and onto East Lucas Road and Southview Drive.
